Not near the Klein quality of my other Klein tools. Not close to what I expected from a tool that is supposed to be made in the USA. The crimper mechanism worked but the head was loose and the metal was marred--it looked like it had been rattling around in a metal toolbox for a year or so. Very disappointed. "MADE IN U.S.A." is no longer stamped on the crimper head. I returned it.We had been buying cheaper ($25) versions of this tool. They were hit or miss. One pair would work ok the next pair would not work at all. The cheap imports are copy of this tool. This tool is built to last. You can tell just from the feel of it that it will last forever. Great tool very high price. We use it everyday in a small manufacturing operation. Quite pleased with it. Even though it is very well made I still feel it is somewhat overpriced. At $100 I would give it five stars.Clockwork like action and jaws remain parallel without wobble. Fits in places where a nesting crimper would not. Terminals will slip out during a crimp if there is any oil on the die face or terminal. I simply wiped the Boeshield I applied from the die faces. Releases crimp force after the last click. The only force the tool sees is from copper. Dies barely touch in an empty die ratchet-and-release scenario. Eliminates the need for an adjustment wheel to play guessing games with. Works with double crimp terminals, just use your best judgement on the strain relief, as there are no instructions. If you are crimping questionable terminals, like those waterproof terminals from HFT, there will not be enough force. Good tool for good terminals.I bought these ratcheting crimpers because I thought since it was made in America it would be much better than Asian made ratcheting crimpers. Fail! There is small metal “ear” that sticks out to manually release the crimper in case you need to make adjustments to connector. This little metal ear broke off! The pencil in the first picture is pointing to where the ear used to be. I was trying to crimp an insulated spade connector. The crimper bent the spade! When I tried to release the crimper with the little ear it broke off. The second pic shows these crimpers fully closed. There is no way the jaws of the crimper are closing anywhere close enough for a proper crimp. This is a wasted $176! Very disappointed in Klein!Pro toolGreat tool for electricians in an industrial settingSave your wrist.Spend the money. This is the most I've spent on a Klein but its absolutely worth it.okI was a little disappointed to see that the tool looks used, the blue 16-14 is wore and there are many deep scratches on both sides. It is a Christmas gift for a family member so I have not tested it but i'm sure the tool will work fine. It just looks like its been in someones toolbox for a year already, I was told that Klein is top of the line, unfortunately this hasn't impressed me so far.Worth every penny if you're crimping a high number, for only the occasional hobby use it's probably overkill. I had to crimp about 3-400 spade connectors and this really sped up the process.Perfect
